Concrete Deer Grate Placement and Installation
Concrete deer grates are very heavy. Due to this weight, they are most often delivered on a truck with a crane and placed for the customer. Click to enlarge photos:The area is excavated and compacted, ready for placement.
The truck arrives with the deer grates.
The crane lifts the grates with heavy straps, not chains, which can scar the concrete.
Almost there! A few hands are ready near the hole to guide the grate in.
One down one to go.
On it's way... the grates can be maneuvered up to 50' from the truck.
The second piece is almost in place.
And there it is. The placement process usually takes about 30 minutes. Most customers prep the hole area the morning of and we're able to arrive right after to avoid downtime on the driveway entrance.
